I specifically help women over 40 break free of mediocre lives and discover their own power to live their ultimate lives.

I am a neuro-diverse specialist, coaching people with various neuro-diversities.

I am also a certified Professional Supervisor and therefore can oversee coaches in their practice and growth.

My Story

I am in my 50s now and at the age of 25 I got clean and sober after years of struggling with addiction. Soon after I met my husband and a year later had my first daughter then another two years later. I was busy with a young family and tried very much to be a good wife and mother.

Then after 20 years of marriage I couldn't take the mental abuse anymore and left. I had given my all but it wasn't enough to create a happy life together. I spent a few years rebuilding my life on my own and by then both girls had left home and I was caring for my dying mother.

A surprise reconnection with Teresa via facebook turned my whole world upside down. Teresa was someone I had had a relatively short relationship with in 1989. It was the first time I had really felt that this was my person. However, my mother had other ideas about who her daughter was and what her future would be. She wanted grandchildren. So wanting to appease my mother, I ended my relationship with Teresa. It was hugely painful but I closed myself off to Teresa and denied my love for her. Twenty eight years later, there she was in front of me on the screen and the emotion that exploded out of me was uncontrollable.

Within a week, I knew I had been lying to myself most of my life, I was gay and Teresa was indeed "the love of my life". For the first time since I said goodbye to her, I allowed myself my own feelings, my own sexuality and started to think about what life I could choose to have for myself. At 50 years of age, I came out to myself and to everyone else. It was freedom like I couldn't explain.

The realisation that I had lived a conformed life to other people's expectations was shocking. I prided myself on my strength and individuality but there it was. PROOF! I was not the woman I thought I was. That's not exactly true. I am a strong person but now I am free of the reasons I conformed and I am "Free to be ME!"

About Me

I am passionate about enjoying and celebrating life. That is why I named my business Celebrating Life. We easily forget all the amazing people we experience if we don't celebrate. I delight in an impromptu coffee or chat with a friend or a stranger and celebrate the opportunity. Of course none better than the time I spend with my granddaughters. I have rediscovered my love of sewing recently and enjoy making clothes.
